The opening of the week of the Methodological Association of the English Language
The opening of the week of the Methodological Association of the English Language took place in the general educational institution No. 205.
Teacher of the Russian language, head of the methodological association: K. Saipovna. Aim of the week:
1. Monitoring students' English language proficiency in accordance with the state educational standard, testing their abilities and development of speech, thinking and memory abilities;
2. Increase their interest in the subject, teach them to respect a foreign language, teach students to speak English fluently, expand their vocabulary;
3. Fostering teamwork, teaching self-study, fostering respect for mother tongue and English.
Decoration: E block of the school, the walls are decorated with different English slogans, directions, wall corners like: "Welcome to our English Week!", "Let's learn English!", "Let's speak English once a week" , "English is a world language", "Do you speak English?" “English is a way to success” and also there are several books in English to read.
During the opening ceremony of the week, students got acquainted with the purpose and conditions of the week. The week was officially opened by elementary school students with the song "Ақ көгершін" in English. The first competition of the opening ceremony was held under the name "We speak English". In this competition, students answered questions, (Answer the question?), Confirmed sentences on the text Where are you from?, Where are you a minute? What subject do you like? Who is your class teacher? Who is your English teacher? How many letters are in English? Such questions were asked and the students answered the questions in a competition. The student who was the first to raise his hand for an answer became the winner and was awarded with pens. And the next competition was held in the form of a quiz competition. Since the questions were about the UK, it was easy for the students to answer them.
The opening ceremony of the week was attended by three hosts. Students of grades 5,6,7,8 were active at the opening. The students showed their skills, proving how much they love English. The students delighted us by singing English songs with their melodies, riddles, riddles and proverbs.
At the opening ceremony, not only students, but also teachers of other subjects, who returned as winners, took part in the competition. We believe that not only students, but also our colleagues have a desire to learn English.
